Bands of Beauty

Its been a busy week at work and with no visits made during the week due to clubs and fixtures and rain from time to time but I am hopeful that tomorrow after work I will be able to make a visit to Westbere Lakes to see what has emerged. It would be nice to find a Norfolk Hawker, Four spotted Chaser or Black tailed Skimmer but I will just be happy of any photo opportunities. I am still spending sessions trying to capture the fantastic sheen on the Banded Demoiselles but finding it a challenge as often what the eye can see, its hard to capture on the camera. I might try to capture a shot of them in display flight over the water but this may be a challenge too far, I shall have to wait and see. In the mean time, here are a couple of shots from last weekend. Last day at work tomorrow for a week, lets hope next week is full of sunshine and warm temperatures!

  2. Weather looks a bit mixed next week Marc, might see you here some time, not too many White legged Damsels about yet, not seen any adult ones, need a couple of warm days to get them emerging!
