I spent some time watching and photographing the Kingfishers late this afternoon at Grove Ferry. This is a species that despite having lots of photos of, I just keep going back for more. After a wait looking at the empty posts the juvenile female duly arrived in glorious sunshine and stayed for a while allowing me to grab some more pleasing shots. I think the top shot is about as near as I am going to get to the image I am after. After waiting for us to get our fill of photos she moved off to the other side of the pool to rest. I think this may be mission accomplished but I'm sure I will be tempted back again for more photo attempts!
