A Rainy Reculver

It was a session requiring waterproofs, hat, gloves and flask this morning as I arrived at Chambers Wall for a walk around the area. I spent a couple of hours walking up to the sea and checking the bushes in constant rain, sometimes quite heavy but mostly a hard drizzle. I had hoped that the rain would have grounded a few birds but as it was, there was not a great deal to trouble the notebook. Birds I did note included c200 Siskin, west, c40 House Martin west, c60 Swallow west, 2 Brambling, 1 west and one decked on the path with Chaffinch near the railway crossing, 1 Wheatear, 3 Turnstone, c10 Oystercatcher, 1 Curlew, c20 Brent Geese, 2 Mute Swan, 1 Redshank, c20 Mallard, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Kestrel, c40 Golden Plover, 3 Stonechat, c20 Goldcrest, c10 Reed Bunting, c15 Skylark and a few Redwing in the bushes. No photos today surprisingly but a few Stonechat from yesterday in the sunshine. Hopefully better weather tomorrow and a few more birds around.

    1. It was a bit hard but you never know what could be round the next corner, bush or tree. Same again tomorrow.
