Some More 'In Flighters'

A look through some more shots taken at the weekend indeed revealed a number of pleasing images of Migrant Hawkers in flight. Thankfully this individual was quite loyal to an area and I was able to get a number of shots at it posed closely nearby. This species is probably the easiest to get in flight as they often hover for long periods of time, allowing the photographer to get on to the dragonfly and quickly focus and rattle off a number of shots. While I am pleased with these efforts I am sure I will be out on the next sunny convenient day after more flight shots.

  1. Not only good technical shots, but a well thought out background too Marc.

I have found a place by the Greenhouses where there are 2 -3 Migrant hawkers that hover about over the old raspberry stems, its a nightmare to walk on the stuff, but when the sun is out I might be able to get some flight shots :-)

    1. A great challenge and with some patience some good shots are achievable. Worthwhile when you get some usable images.
