Friends Reunited!

I thankfully got the call from my dad today to say he had collected the camera and all was in good working order. With this in mind and the sun shining, I collected after finishing work and made a brief visit to Highstead to try to get a few photos of the dragonflies. With my new friend back in the hands and trying to remember how to use it I bumped into Chris Tedder who had earlier photographed a female Red veined Darter, a smart dragonfly and another of the shots I am after. I didn't spend long on site and just wanted to grab a few shots to look at and noted 1 male Red veined Darter briefly but it didn't settle at all, c5 Common Darter with a few allowing the camera to perform into action, 8 Black tailed Skimmer, 2 Emperor Dragonfly and lots of Common Blue and Blue tailed Damselfly.

A few butterflies were seen including 1 Small Tortoiseshell, 3 Common Blue, lots of Skippers flying around and a few 'Whites' flew by. Hopefully I can catch this male Red veined Darter on my camera and obtain a few pleasing efforts but the shots today turned out quite pleasing for starters. I would like to thank Derek Smith for the loan of his Canon 10d whilst mine has been at the doctors, much appreciated.
