Marbled White

Another day of cold temperatures and heavy snow showers at times. To keep my spirits up with the butterfly season fast approaching I thought I would post a few shots in the next few days of what I hope will be a good season for them. Just looking through the shots is enough to know that warmer days are not too far away and that many hours and visits will be made to try and see new species and try to better the shots of what I achieved last year. One of my first tasks is to try to photograph a Brimstone at rest, a butterfly I have yet to photograph at all. Hopefully the next few weeks will give me that opportunity!

  1. Looking forward to the summer months and your latest efforts. Hard to see how you can improve on these though Marc.

  5. As Pete says Marc,
I think you'll have difficulty improving on those Shots! I've had 26 butterfly species on my patch, and the Brimstone is the only one I lack an image of :-)
