After spending yesterday at Old Trafford watching Manchester United beat Reading, just, I have spent today catching up on sleep and have not been able to get out to see if any migrants have arrived. I thought I would spend an hour or so this afternoon going through a few more butterfly shots and post a few to keep the spirits high. Hopefully the next few days will deliver some sunshine and I am hoping weather permitting to go and look for Brimstones at the weekend if the conditions are in my favour, they probably won't be! Surely this week will see the first hirundines back at Reculver and the first Black Redstarts and Wheatears dancing on the rocks, we shall wait and see.
Heath Fritillary- Probably one of my best shots of this species
